Lawn Solutions Australia is proudly presenting this year’s Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS).
For those that are unfamiliar with the event, it is the largest garden show of its kind in the southern hemisphere! Each year at the show the best of the best in landscape design compete in creating incredible display gardens. These gardens must be seen to be believed. The amount of skill and design that goes into these gardens is second to none and provides thousands of show goers with inspiration for what they can achieve at home in their own backyards, year after year.
This year Lawn Solutions Australia are collaborating with some of the best in the industry to present a display garden that is certain to wow the crowds!
The display garden is titled ‘The Other Side’ and has been designed by multiple MIFGS Gold Medal winner and Better Homes and Garden presenter Jason Hodges (also Lawn Solutions Australia Ambassador) and his good friends from Candeo Design.
The Garden will be constructed by Semken Landscaping, owned by Martin Semken.
‘The Other Side’ is designed to reflect a sophisticated family backyard that has something for everyone and all ages. Hodges says that the garden is designed to cater for all of life’s moments, providing a stylish and comfortable place to entertain and enjoy. “Whether you are enjoying a coffee alone reading the paper, playing with your kids out on the lawn, or entertaining family and friends, ‘The Other Side’ will have the space and the design for you to enjoy each of these important activities. The garden design combines style and sophistication with a pool and modern alfresco, whilst having ample lawn area so you can enjoy the feel of real lawn under your feet.”
One of the main features of this display garden will be the use of new and exciting turf varieties that are sold exclusively in Australia through Lawn Solutions Australia Members. The best of the best in the industry are using these varieties, including Sir Grange (Zeon Zoysia) and TifTuf.
