Lawn Solutions Australia (LSA) was formed in 2013 to unite the country’s leading turf producers who are committed to research and development and ensuring the production of top quality turfgrasses.
The LSA group is made up of 43 turf producers, who produce in excess of 55% of all turf sold in Australia, through direct turf farm sales and through big box stores and leading nurseries, some 600 plus outlets!
Lawn Solutions are the producers of the most successful proprietary turf variety per capita in the world – Sir Walter DNA Certified Buffalo – to date close to 1 billion square feet have been sold across Australia.
The LSA Group consists of the most experienced and professional turf producers in Australia and is continuing to build on its partnerships in the global arena – with our strong working relationships with our international partners – Georgia State University, The Turfgrass Group, Bladerunner Farms, ItGap and Texas A&M.
LSA is the first in Australia to have the support and these exclusive arrangements with the world’s leading plant breeders, and now they will be using our LSA Research and Development Facility as a sanctioned testing centre away from the USA. LSA currently has the largest privately operated Turfgrass Research and Development facility in Australia, with over 180 different turf varieties under assessment. This is truly an industry break through to develop new grass cultivars with real points of difference that benefits the consumer. These new grass cultivars will be trialled and tested for Australian conditions and not like previously where old rehashed US varieties were released in Australia without any trials or testing to gauge climate adoptability.
