It’s that time of year again. You know the one where you pull the tangled pile of fairy lights out of the garage and attempt to untangle them before Christmas arrives? Yep, it’s time for the garden Christmas decorations.
If you have developed somewhat of a Christmas decoration rivalry on your street, then we may have some ideas that will show off your lawn at the same time, ensuring your lawn takes home the Christmas spoils and is the envy of all your neighbours.
Fake Snow
If a more traditional northern Christmas display is your aesthetic, then adding some fake snow to your lawn display will turn it into a winter wonderland.
Baking soda and shaving cream snow recipe is super easy. Pour one cup of baking soda in a bowl and add in shaving cream slowly until you get the snow consistency that you like.
Get lit!
Light up a border around your lawn or create a lit-up run way for Santa’s sled! You can do this with a range of different fairy lights, solar lamps or you can even get light up or glow in the dark ropes.
You can also use fairy lights to light up your trees and shrubs.
Animated Window Projections
The easiest way to decorate your home this season is with a Window Projector Kit! Simply hang a white sheet over your window and see the animations come to life on the outside!
Build a Snowman
A snowman will look great placed on your lawn, just make sure you move it around, so it doesn’t kill your lawn underneath.
Lawn Spike Ornaments
There are many different ornaments and decorations available on lawn spikes that are perfect for decorating your lawn without squashing it or covering it up. Candy canes are popular, as well as snowflakes, Christmas greetings signs and spiral Christmas trees.
Create a Christmas Tree
Use one of your existing trees or shrubs and decorate it as a Christmas tree. You can even place some fake presents underneath to give it the full Christmas tree effect.
Santa Legs in Chimney
Not one for your lawn, but always a fun addition to the display. You can buy Santa legs ready to go or you can buy some red pants, stuff them and add some boots!
Lawn Stencils
Make some Christmas themed stencils and use flour to imprint them onto the lawn!
