On Sunday 28th of November, the AFLW Grand Final was played between the Melbourne Demons and Brisbane Lions at the new Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield QLD. The Melbourne Demons came out victorious with a narrow win.
Excitingly for Lawn Solutions Australia the ground was specified with TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda as part of the construction project carried out by Twin View Turf. TifTuf was introduced as a new and improved turf variety in recent years and truly is kicking goals when it comes to sports turf playing surfaces. It was also used as the exclusive turf variety selected for this year’s The Block TV Series showing it is well suited for domestic lawns as well.
The final was played on TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda – 7 weeks after being laid and more importantly 4 and a half weeks after the oval was scarified and top dressed. This is a testament to the grass and its speed of establishment. No wonder it’s referred to as the ‘Smart Grass’. The nickname was coined because it is the only grass to be awarded the Smart Approved WaterMark for drought tolerance and water efficiency. It’s not just a great hard-wearing grass for Aussie sport, it’s also great for the harsh Aussie climate as well.
AFL QLD is super excited about the new Brighton Homes Arena and to have the world’s most researched turfgrass on the new oval.
TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda is leading the way in innovation, and performance, plus it looks incredible.
